After 20 minutes played, Leicester broke the deadlock through a wonderful goal from Sam Tierney, but thanks to Charlie Wellings late equaliser in the first half Reading managed to hang on.

After plenty of chances for the Foxes, it wasn't until the 96th minute when Carrie Jones found the net and secured all three points.

Tierney is now Leicester's top WSL scorer this season with just two goals. The win has lifted Leicester off the bottom of the WSL and their hopes of surviving relegation look more likely.

After ten minutes played, Leicester looked the more dominant side with Reading struggling to make any clear-cut chances.

19 minutes in and Rachel Roe's delivery from a free kick found Wellings head, the striker just tried to sneak it in at the far post, but Janina Leitzig palmed it away for a corner.

In the 20th minute Leicester broke the deadlock with a beautiful finish from Sam Tierney. The cross came in from Courtney Nevin and found Sam Tierney on the volley as she floated the ball into the bottom left corner.

With less than five minutes to go, CJ Bott played a low ball into the box through a number of shirts, but the ball was calmly collected by Grace Moloney.

After 45 minutes, Charlie Wellings was left unmarked in the penalty area and found the top left corner to equalise for the visitors.

After a scrappy half it ended 1-1.

Two minutes into the second half, Hannah Cain charged down the left side, but Faye Bryson puts in a crucial block to prevent her getting a cross or shot off.

15 minutes later, a cross from Cain, who sends the ball across the advancing line of defenders, finds Tierney at the far post, but Grace Moloney palmed it away to prevent the defender from getting her second goal.

In the 65th minute Faye Bryson was shown a yellow card.

Four minutes later, an in-swinging corner from Courtney Nevin was headed downwards by Tierney, but the ball was cleared off the line by Jade Moore.

A few minutes later, Reading made their first substitution of the game as striker Emma Harries was replaced with Belgian midfielder Justine Vanhaevermaet.

In the 73rd minute, the fourth yellow card of the game was shown for Sam Tierney after colliding with a Reading player.

One minute later, Remy Siemsen's shot hit the post. The Australian striker cut inside onto her left foot and curled the ball towards goal but her shot bounced off the far post.

Reading made their second substitution of the game in the 77th minute, as Brooke Hendrix was replaced by Welsh defender Gemma Evans. The American defender went down for the second time in the game after earlier requiring treatment.

Leicester were starting to look like the more likely side to break through and find a second goal.

Leicester made their first substitution of the game in the 81st minute, as Remy Siemsen was replaced by striker Jess Sigsworth, who makes her first appearance since her ACL injury last February.

Three minutes later, Sam Tierney crossed the ball to Hannah Cain, her head connected well with the ball at the back post, but she couldn't get it down and the ball sailed over the net.

In the 90th minute, Hannah Cain lashed a shot off, but it was fired straight at Grace Moloney.

After many players going down injured and plenty of stoppages in play it was no surprise to see 12 minutes added on.

One minute into stoppage time Reading made their third and final substitution, as goalscorer Charlie Wellings was replaced by Northern Irish midfielder Lauren Wade.

After 90+6 minutes played, Carrie Jones broke the deadlock and after numerous good chances in front of goal Leicester found the net. The 19-year-old Welsh midfielder was left in the centre of the box, there were a swarm of Reading shirts around her, but she picked her spot and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner.

Reading's assistant coach was booked in the aftermath of the goal.

Leicester made another substitution after 90+9 minutes played, as striker Hannah Cain was replaced by Welsh midfielder Josie Green

Willie Kirk made his final substitution after 90+12 minutes as goalscorer Carrie Jones was replaced by 20-year-old striker Missy Goodwin.

The final whistle was blown after 15 minutes added time and the Leicester players flood onto the pitch after a well-deserved and important three points.

The gamed ended 2-1, thanks to a late goal from Carrie Jones.
