First half goal seals triumph for Manchester United at King Power Stadium

Manchester United took all three points after they beat Leicester City 1-0 in the Barclay's FA Women's Super League on Filbert Way on Sunday afternoon.

Three changes were made to the team that lost to Manchester City in the Barclays FA Women's Super League, as Natasha Flint came in for Shannon O'Brien who missed out through injury.
The two sides last met in March in the Barclays FA Women's Super League when the Red Devils took all three points after putting four past the Foxes' at Leigh Sports Village.
Kirstie Levell made two smart saves to keep out Lucia Garcia and Hannah Blundell, whilst at the other end of the pitch Jemma Purfield had a shot saved by England international Mary Earps.
In the 33rd minute Nikita Parris headed in Katie Zelem's free kick to take the lead for Manchester United.
Missy Goodwin had a shot on goal from the edge of the box but Midlands' born Earps claimed it comfortably.
Into half-time and it was Manchester United with the lead at the King Power Stadium.
Jemma Purfield swings the corner in, Josie Green made a connection with it who hits a half-volley that is heading for the bottom corner until Earps pushes it away.
Into the final 20 minutes and Missy Goodwin is forced off due to injury and replaced by 16 year-old Ava Baker who made her debut.
Ten minutes to go and Leicester make a further two changes; Flint and Green off for C.J Bott and Connie Scofield.
The fourth official announced five minutes of added time but Leicester were unable to find an equaliser.
It ended in defeat on Filbert Way as Manchester United took the narrow victory with a 1-0 lead.
Standings
City still sit bottom of the table on zero points and are three points off Liverpool and Brighton.

Leicester will play Liverpool at the Pirelli Stadium in the FA WSL cup on Wednesday 26th October (7pm kick-off).
In the Barclays FA Women's Super League, Leicester will play 11th place Reading, also on zero points, at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday 30th October (2pm kick-off).
